Many communities across the country will be gearing up for celebrations to honor the founding of our country this weekend and once again, Louisville’s Crescent Hill Neighborhood is ready for its traditional Old Fashioned Fourth of July on Friday, July 3rd and Saturday, July 4th.
“For many years, Crescent Hill has found great ways to enjoy this holiday with a mixture of old-fashioned fun and activities with neighborhood folks who honor the history of our country in a setting that is special to our area,” says Metro Councilman Bill Hollander (D-9).
It’s two days of events with artists booths, a food court, an antique car display, neighborhood booths, children’s activities, a pet show, historical displays, a baking contest, free trolley rides and, of course, fireworks on Saturday night at 10:00 pm.
“All of this in the historic neighborhood of Crescent Hill at the Historic Peterson-Dumesnil House,” says Hollander. “So come and join us this weekend.”
The Crescent Hill Old-Fashioned 4th of July Celebration runs on Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. at the Peterson-Dumesnil House, 301 S Peterson Avenue.
