Louisville’s one and only Greek Festival will be held this weekend, at a new location: Festival Plaza at Waterfront Park (next to Joe's Crab Shack). Stop by any time, between 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., next Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
As usual, you will want to try some of their sumptuous Mediterranean cuisine, from mouth-watering lamb shanks, gyros and salads, to their world famous baklava and other desserts. Check out their delicious menu offerings HERE.
Find the original Greek aromas at this year's festival at their ouzeria. Ouzo is a globally famous Greek drink-aperitif. It is an anise-flavored liqueur that is widely consumed throughout the country. Ouzo is exported throughout the world and Ouzo is one of Greece's most sought after products. You can also taste Greek wines, beer and more... (They suggest you enjoy it moderately!)
And, you’ll want to get your Greek groove on, with live bouzouki music by the Kostas Kastanis Band. There will be traditional Greek dancing and music all weekend long by local dance troupes at this year's Greek Festival. OPA!!!
