Fans of The Louisville Crashers (aren’t we all) will be pleased to hear that three members of Louisville’s Metro Council are sponsoring a special performance of Derby City’s premiere party band next Friday, July 10, at Highview Park. And, it’s free!
Metro Councilmembers James Peden (District 23), Madonna Flood (District 24) and Vicki Aubrey-Welch (District (13) are sponsoring a free summer concert series at Highview Park for the fourth straight year based on the success of the former Music in the Metro.
A different concert will be held every other Friday from June through August and the event is open to the public, family friendly, and free. Local vendors will be on hand with a variety of food options, and people are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket to enjoy the show.
Highview Park is located at 7201 Outer Loop, (enter through Briscoe Lane.) Gates will open at 5:00 p.m. and music will begin at 6:00 p.m. For more information on this event, please contact Councilman Peden’s office at 574-1123 or by email at james.peden@louisvilleky.gov
