The Louisville Water Company has requested to get the word out that Wednesday, October 28th is the date they are hosting Trick or Treatment at its award-winning Crescent Hill Water Treatment Plant and the Gatehouse at the Crescent Hill Reservoir, 201 Reservoir Avenue. This free event will run from 4:00pm to 7:30pm and includes a plant tour, prizes, fun science experiments, a selfie board, games, spooky-flavor-infused Louisville Pure Tap® and snacks. Join mascot Tapper for a healthy zombie walk at the top of each hour around the Reservoir – it’s almost a mile. Shrek characters provided by the Youth Performing Arts School Theatre Department are sure to delight!
Bring the entire family – costumes encouraged! The “haunted” Gatehouse provides a great setting for Halloween fun. Board Trolley de ‘Ville for a ride to the plant. Come early to see it all!
Free parking is available along Reservoir Avenue. Trolley service picks up at the Gatehouse and in front of the Crescent Hill Treatment Plant across Frankfort Avenue.
The Crescent Hill Water Treatment Plant recently received the highest honor for the performance of its water quality operations from the Partnership for Safe Water -- The Phase IV “Excellence in Water Treatment” Award. It signifies that a water treatment facility has the highest possible level of performance and produces water quality that surpasses the required federal standards. There are more than 50,000 water systems in the country and less than 1% has achieved this status.
