Have you been turned down for a loan? Do you know how to interpret the complex information contained in your own credit report? Well, help is a hand. The nice folks over at Louisville’s Center for Nonprofit Excellence have set up a number of free workshops just for people like you.
Discover what you need to know about credit and credit scores. Learn how credit affects your trustworthiness in the eyes of lenders and what that means for your current and future financial situation.

Objectives:
1. Participants will gain a better understanding of credit reports and credit scores including their existing knowledge and steps to take to establish, maintain, and improve their credit.
2. Participants will gain knowledge to learn how their consumer behavior affects their credit score and how to be prepared for financial difficulties or credit problems.
3. Participants will take away at least one tool to track and measure progress on their financial goals.
This workshop is part of a series made possible by a grant from the FINRA Investor Education Foundation through a partnership with United Way Worldwide, and is presented by Metro United Way, Louisville Metro Community Services, the Center for Non Profit Excellence, Bellarmine University, the Louisville Urban League, Apprisen, Fulton180 Coaching, Consulting, and Training Projects, and Quantum Communications.
The series comprises 6 different workshops all providing personal financial education to frontline social service staff as a professional development opportunity. All workshops are free of charge and include breakfast or lunch.
This series is a separate learning opportunity from the Community Financial Empowerment Certification and Training program but some credits may qualify towards a Level 2 Certification. Contact the Certification program staff by email or at 574-1969 for further information.
